Competition for the position of an Air Traffic Control instructor

Estonian Aviation Academy announces competition for the position of an Air Traffic Control instructor for a five-year period starting work from 1 January 2010.
The ATC instructor has to fulfill the following duties:
- prepare simulator based exercises prescribed by Air Traffic Service curriculum
- supervise simulator training practices
- conduct basic and rating training in conformity with the approved curriculum of EAVA
- conduct continuation training in the field of Air Traffic Services
- participate as a team member in different development projects
- prepare teaching materials and aids
Qualifications:
- air traffic controller initial training
- secondary education as a minimum
- a minimum of 3-year working experience as an air traffic controller
- knowledge of English at upper-intermediate level (B2)
- knowledge about preparing teaching materials
- stress tolerance and good communication skills
- computer skills in major office programs (MS Word, Excel, e-mailing)
The following would offer a candidate an advantage:
- higher education
- at least a minimum of 5-year working experience as an air traffic controller
- working experience as an on-the-job training instructor or trainer
- knowledge of English at ICAO Level 5
- knowledge of Finnish at elementary level
