    Master´s Programme in Aviaton Management

    For the first time Estonian Aviation Academy offers an opportunity to obtain a Master´s Degree in Social Sciences ( a Master in Human Factors and System Safety). Opening the Master´s Programme helps the already working aviation specialists and others interested continue their studies and thus raise their qualification. It also widens the opportunities of passing onto the doctoral studies either in Estonia or abroad.

    The programme is meant for specialists already engaged in aviation or for those working in other areas of transportation. Graduates of the Master´s Programme can work as instructors, lecturers and training managers at higher educational institutions and vocational schools or as consultants in different state or private enterprises.

    The duration of studies is two years, i.e. four semesters, and it takes place in the form of distance learning. By the end of the studies the master student has to have collected 120 ECTS credits, out of which the Master´s thesis counts for 30 ECTS credits.

    The Programme falls into three modules:

    1. Basic Aviation Studies – 30 ECTS (compulsory subjects 27 ECTS, electives 3 ECTS);
    2. Basic Studies in Human Factors and System Safety – 36 ECTS (compulsory subjects 24 ECTS, electives 12 ECTS);
    3. Speciality Studies in Human Factors and System Safety – 54 ECTS.

    The requirements of admission:

    • Bachelor´s degree or its equivalent;
    • knowledge of English;
    • at least one-year work experience.

    The language of instruction is Estonian.
    The studies are not covered by state funding, meaning that the participants have to pay the tuition fee.
